Grand Annual Update
I am truly grateful for the many of you who have given so generously to our Grand Annual Collection which began in the fall. We are still accepting donations to reach our parish goal of $100k. To achieve this goal we need to raise another $41k by March 31, the Wednesday of Holy Week. Knowing the many economic difficulties you may be facing because of the pandemic your support of this essential means of income for our newly formed parish will be greatly appreciated. Pope Francis prays that churches will emerge from the crisis stronger and more viable and vital. This is an opportunity to make his dream and mine a reality.

Sanctuary Lamp and weekend offertory gifts of bread and wine, in memory of a loved one
We have initiated a new way to pray for and remember loved ones by sponsoring the Sanctuary Lamp and weekend offertory gifts of bread and wine, in memory of a loved one. The seven-day candle will burn for a week, at the tabernacle, with your special intention or in memory of your loved one, as you have requested. The special intention and or your loved ones will be honored and remembered with the prayers of our parish at the offertory as they are presented and used at the weekend Masses. This is a nice way to remember birthdays, anniversaries and to offer special prayers and intentions for our loved ones. The suggested offering or donation of $10.00 is accepted for the Sanctuary Lamp and $20.00 for the weekend offertory gifts can be booked at the rectory.
DONATIONS OF APPRECIATED SECURITIES
Donations of appreciated securities can support The St Martin de Porres Parish and may provide tax benefits to you. If you would like to make a gift of securities before the end of the year in order to receive a full tax credit, please contact Nancy Lafoe at and we can provide you with information to share with your broker. Thank you for your generosity!

Remembering St Martin de Porres in your will
Many people have given bequests over the years to our parish and we are grateful for their generosity. Gifts and bequests are a line item in our parish budgets and as the fiscal year comes to a close some have inquired about the logistics of giving a large or small gift as part of your estate planning. If you would like more information about how this can be done in loving memory of anyone in your life please contact our finance manager Nancy Lafoe at or any member of our finance councils.
May the Lord continue to inspire us to be cheerful givers.
